The Deer and the Dragon

It is almost scary how much my style can change when I use references.
Mostly, it's anatomy and shading changes, but these factors make a huge difference in realism. I want to improve how real my art looks because I feel I will improve more by going in this direction and I am also beginning to hit a standstill in my normal style. So, I will be using references much more often, and, hopefully, they will be my own photographs at some point.
Currently, I haven't taken very many photographs, so I don't have enough references from my own sources. Thankfully, the internet is kind and I can reference from stock photography. Expect lists of references for a while.

This picture was mostly inspired by a small poem I wrote( which I may or may not post later), which in turn was inspired by my two characters in the piece.
